Blessing of Gen. Malvar Hall

On September 1, 2009, the blessing of the newly constructed building – Gen. Miguel Malvar Hall of DLSL was held. The new structure houses the following offices: General Services Department (GSD), the GSD workshops, Property and Reservations, as well as the CITE Industrial Engineering Laboratory. The furnishings of the said building are 70% made from recycled materials. Instead of disposing the various parts of the former GSD building, all materials that can be reused were fabricated to office tables, partitions, and other furniture in the offices. This is in response of DLSL’s way of implementing one of its environmental programs under the Green Initiative, Green Imperative (GIGI) project.
