The newly-formed De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA) Pangasinan Chapter participated in the world-renowned Bangus Festival Street Party on 30 April 2008 at Dagupan, Pangasinan. The Lasallians got together at the La Salle Grill, the bangusan tent prepared by DLSAA Pangasinan Chapter President and City Administrator Alvin Fernandez.
The La Salle Grill served as a fellowship venue for the Chapter members and an announcement to the community of the green and white colors waving in the bangus capital of the Philippines. To help the Lasallians up north stay in touch with the other green-bloods the world over, free name@delasalle.ph accounts were issued to the students and alumni who attended the annual tourism spectacle.
The name@delasalle.ph project, spearheaded by De La Salle Philippines and aligned with the journey towards One La Salle and the Animo's centennial in 2011, aims to strengthen the connection among Lasallians by giving students, staff, faculty, administrators, alumni and Brothers free personalized Google-powered email accounts.
